Mark Kersey. Origin: Loyalist.
Mark Kersey received 61 acres of land in the Grays area of Long Island on 21 September 1790.
We found that a Mark Kersey was a private in the South Carolina Light Dragoons during the American Revolution, and serving with him in the Light Dragoons of South Carolina were Captain Archibald Campbell and Quartermaster George Gray – both also Long Island land recipients. This name may also have been spelled “Kersay.
