George Gray. Origin: Loyalist.
George Gray is listed as a Quarter Master in Captain Archibald Campbell’s Company, South Carolina Light Dragoons. On his land grant is written “Loyalist.” An Indenture in 1792 states “Surgeon.”
He received two land grants in the Grays area of Long Island: 314 acres on 24 June 1788 and 500 acres on 2 September 1788.
