Sylvester Crispin. Origin: Loyalist.

Sylvester Crispin was a soldier on the British side in the American Revolution; he is listed in Homeward Bound as a proven Loyalist. He received 100 acres in the Berrys area of Long Island on 30 April 1788.

In a letter to Lord Shirley, Dunmore made derogatory remarks about several Loyalists of Abaco who signed a memorial requesting he dissolve the Assembly. Of Silver Crispin and two others he wrote “soldiers from Abbacoe”.
