Thomas Foster. Origin: Loyalist

Thomas Foster was granted 100 acres of land on Long Island on 8 September 1789, and was exempt from paying quit rent on the land for 10 years, which leads us to believe he was likely a Loyalist. His land is bounded by the property of Hugh Dean, General McArthur, the sea, and a salina.

Thomas Foster and wife Mary had a daughter, Elizabeth, born on New Providence 27 June 1792. We did not find any earlier records of the surname “Foster.”
