Joseph Young was granted 100 acres in Salt Pond on Long Island on 30 June 1788. He may be related to Thomas Young, Old Inhabitant, who was granted land in McKanns on Long Island. A William Young of New Providence is listed in the 1731 Census with a wife and 5 children. Thomas Young is listed in the 1740 Census and there are several other mentions of Thomas Young in the Dolly Mae records.
