Bromfield Bonamy. Origin: Old Inhabitant.

Bromfield Bonamy was born on 3 December 1764 on the island of New Providence, the son of Nicholas and Sarah White Bonamy. Unlike other Old Inhabitants, however, this surname is not present in any of the earlier documents we used. Bonamy was granted 540 acres of land in the Roses area of Long Island on 2 October 1788, with a two-year waiver on payment of quit rent.
