George Maycock. Origin: Old Inhabitant.
George Maycock was born on 15 November 1762 in New Providence. The brother of Sweeting Maycock, who also received a land grant on Long Island, and possibly of Sarah, George was granted 60 acres in the Benzies area of Long Island on 17 May 1788. He also received 40 acres in the Deadmans Cay area, but the date of this grant is not known.
