John Rahming. Origin: Old Inhabitant

A John Rahming was born 2 August 1764 on New Providence. John and Sarah Rahming then had a daughter, Tryphenia, born 16 December 1786 on Long island. Two years later, John was granted 160 acres in the Pinders area of Long Island (14 November 1788). We identified Rahmings (also “Rehming”) in early records of the Bahamas.

We did not find the name John Rahming in American Loyalist records, nor did we locate his land grant, so we believe he was an Old Inhabitant.
