Sweeting Maycock. Origin: Old Inhabitant.

Sweeting Maycock was born on 18 April 1755 on New Providence. His father was George Maycock, and his mother was Charity. Other Maycock family members receiving grants on Long Island include George (whether Sweeting’s father or brother is unknown) and Sarah (possibly Sweeting’s sister?). Sweeting’s 160-acre grant was located in the Deadmans Cay area of Long Island, given on 21 September 1788.
