Alex Cartwright. Origin: Unknown
Alex Cartwright received a grant of 56 acres on Long Island in the Berrys area. He may have been the grandson of Loyalist Thomas Cartwright from Virginia and New York who first settled in Charleton, Abaco, in 1831. An Alexander Fleming Cartwright was born on 13 November 1831 to a Thomas Cartwright, who in turn was born in 1803 to a Thomas Cartwright.
