Give a brief description of the inhabitant. The man. The legend. Do we know any significant details about these guys? If yes, great! Include that here. If not, then this can just be ignored.

Thomas Manuel. Origin: Unknown
Thomas Manuel received a land grant on Long Island of 100 acres in the Berry’s area. The land was later owned by Late Grantees (given out after 1848). The same grant number (D-128) also applies to a 200-acre grant to Anthony Friar/Frier; this occurred because the Long Island grants are numbered to match the pages of Book D on which they are recorded, and Book D frequently includes two grants per page.
We have not been able to find Thomas Manual in any other records, and we believe the name may have been written incorrectly – perhaps should have been “Emmanuel?” We have not been able to determine when and from where Manuel/Emmanuel arrived in the Bahamas.
